I’m sure after last night everyone now has heard of New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin. What a fascinating journey he has had to the NBA. Lin is the first American player in the league to be of Chinese or ofTaiwanese descent. He went undrafted from Harvard University bouncing from the Mavericks Summer League team to a short stint as a Golden State Warrior, and was waived barely two weeks into his stop with the Houston Rockets. Had it not been for the delayed debut of Baron Davis to an elbow injury, Lin may of felt prey to a similar outcome with the Knicks. Given Jeremy Lin’s first 4 career starts (at a scoring line of 25, 28, 23, 38 points a span not seen in the league since LeBron James) it is hard not for basketball fans to fall in love with this Tebow-esque sports story. Last nights victory over Kobe Bryant leading a Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire-less New York team was sure impressive, but the true test will be if Lin can continue his production as the team’s floor general once the duo returns to the lineup. All I know is that Jeremy Lin has brought pure LIN-sanity to Madison Square Garden!
In case you missed it last night here are some highlights from Lin’s 38 pt. performance against the Los Angeles Lakers!
